EDUCATION:
- BFA Illustration & Design; Parson School of Design; 66 Fifth Avenue; New York, NY 10011.
Course of study included 3 years of human and equestrian anatomy with focus on physiology, as well as skeletal and muscular structures.
Extensive lab work producing 3-D models required.
- Travel and research throughout Eastern U.S., Canada, England, Ireland, Wales, and France.
- Independent study of European costume, weaponry and architecture, concentrating on medieval and Renaissance time periods.
- Continuing research in fields of animal behavior and avian anatomy.
MEDIUM:
- Primarily oils and acrylic; also pencil and pen and ink.
- Computer graphics working with Fractal Painter, Adobe PhotoShop 5.0,
Poser 3, Ray Dream Studio 5, and many other 3-D software programs.
FINE ARTS/ ILLUSTRATION:
- Book covers, and interior illustrations for Scholastic, Inc, New York, NY
- Commission works from 1983 include portraits, landscapes, and railroad paintings.
- 10' x 15' wall mural (landscape) executed for Lansdale Medical Group, Lansdale, PA
- Print ads and company logo designs for several area businesses.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Programmer and Systems Operator, (C and C++) MainStreet Systems & Software, Harleysville, PA. From 1996 to present.
- Truscott Design, self-employed from 1983 to present.
- Ten years experience as framer and restorer at area galleries and
retail stores including: The Frame Factory in Doylestown, PA and the Hahn Gallery in Chestnut Hill, PA.
- Advertising Director, (2 years) Upstairs Gallery, Lahaska, PA.
- Oil painting restoration on commission.
